FIRST COMMISSIONING OF THE ENTIRE SYSTEM OF THE EDAG CITYBOT

Where: At the EDAG Group’s site in Fulda

The entire EDAG CityBot system is to be set in operation in the EDAG CityBot test lab in Fulda:

hardware (tractors and utility modules)
E/E components
implementation of the software backends
initial testing of automated driving maneuvers
integration of the project partners’ work packages

The EDAG operations center

All data relevant for testing is brought together here, and becomes visible. Examples of this are the battery charge levels of the EDAG CityBots, GPS positioning data, booking lists, priorities, route planning, capacity data and information from the evaluation of the vehicles’ camera data.
Likewise, the EDAG CityBot can also be manually moved by an operator by remote control.

create new scope for the legally compliant testing of innovations, from which guidelines for certification and legislation can be derived
improve the transfer to the market
enable new functions and system adjustments to be tested under realistic conditions and optimizations to be directly incorporated

show how, even in an increasingly digital world, important protection and safety standards can be guaranteed
make participation possible, and therefore strengthen society’s acceptance of innovations
